DESIGN

The mattress employs circular coil design; the queen size has 35 circular coils and the twin size has 21 circular coils. These air coils are equivalent to springs in traditional mattresses in terms of their use. They help in aligning our body weight and distributing it evenly across the entire surface of the inflated mattress. The coil tech supports the back as the surface of the mattress aligns perfectly with the sleeper’s spine.

The height of the mattress makes it easier for people of all ages to climb in and out of bed with great ease. In addition, the edges are also sturdy and prevents you from slipping off the bed.

Like most of the mattresses, the top surface is flocked and soft but it keeps the bedsheet in its place.

EASY TO USE

The primary pump inflates and deflates the mattress under 4 minutes with its automatic controls.

The dial setting allows you to choose the wanted firmness level from the three pre-set comfort levels- Plush, Medium and Firm. Just select the level and turn on the auto-inflate feature and the primary pump blows the air mattress to the chosen level. You don’t need to worry about constantly checking if the mattress is fully blown, as the primary pump shuts off automatically once it reaches the desired pressure level. Thereafter, the secondary pump ensures that this air pressure is maintained through the night.

For such a large bed, it is relatively fast to set up and organise after use.

PORTABLE

The mattress is complemented by a large canvas tote bag in which it can be easily stored. You can carry it with you outdoors or tuck it safely under the bed, the bag protects your mattress from any unsolicited wear and tear.

PUMPS CAN CAUSE PROBLEMS

Serta has improved the overall sleeping experience of an air mattress, but there still seems to room for improvement. Many people have complained of getting faulty secondary pumps. Although the primary pump is fast and convenient to use, it is very noisy.

DURABLE

If you’re looking for a durable air mattress, this should be your first choice as the material is really strong. PVC material eliminates the chances of bursting or cracking the seams, when the mattress is fully inflated, by stretching. The extra-thick and strong build makes this Serta air bed resistant to punctures and waterproof. Even so, one should always be prepared to repair holes, in case they appear, to increase the longevity.

OTHER FEATURES

The mattress is also assisted by an integrated cord storage cup.

It also comes with a 2-year product warranty, unlike any of its competitors. The customer services of Serta are commendable as they respond to queries within no time and before closing the ticket, they make sure that the customer is satisfied and convinced.
